Kidnappers share video of former Bayelsa Commissioner, Ogiasa, in grave begging for his life

A distressing, dehumanizing video of former Commissioner in Bayelsa State, Mike Ogiasa, who is also a cousin to Ex-Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, has been shared by his captors.

The former commissioner was kidnapped at Otuogidi in the Ogbia Local Government Area of the state on Wednesday, June 1.

abducted weeks ago and a ransom was demanded for him by his captors.

Apparently, to ginger his family to quickly raise the ransom, the kidnappers filmed Ogiasa inside a grave, lying down inside muddy water with a nylon bag thrown over his head.

He can be heard begging his family to bring all the money in their possession so that the kidnappers can release him.

Engr. Ogiasa served as state commissioner for special duties (federal project) and special adviser on power development during the administration of Seriake Dickson. He was also the convener of the socio-political group known as Voice of the South-South.
