The lady who got the nation in a panic mode when she raised an alarm she was kidnapped has now confessed that she made the stories up and was never kidnapped.
Ameerah Sufyan set Twitter on fire when she tweeted that she was kidnapped by some men dressed in police uniforms and that she was with 17 other victims, being taken to different parts of the country.
She also sent GPS locations of at least two places inside the bush where she claimed she was kidnapped to.
It later turned out the claims were false after Ameerah was picked up by the police and kept in custody. The police debunked her claims and promised to conduct more investigation to reveal what truly happened.
The lady at the centre of the embarrassing hoax has now formally apologized to the general public she misled.
She tweeted: “Good day all, I would like to formally apologize to the general public, to the whole police department and my friends and family for misleading them with the below tweet, nothing of such happened and it was all just my delusions and negative thinking, I would also like to thank the IG and the CP babaji Sunday for helping me through this may God reward them abundantly.
“I intentionally took myself out of our house, went to these locations, entered bushes and dehydrated and starved myself for four days just like that, there was no kidnapping, nothing at all, I truly apologize and please pray for me
I Need it.”
