Nigerian Idol Season 7 contestant, Progress, beat his closest competitor, Zadok to clinch the ultimate prize on Sunday.
The top two contestants have had a very good run this season, giving outstanding performances week after week.
Progress’ final performance of ‘Bang’ on Sunday, got all three judges on their feet, again. Shortly afterwards, the results of the voting were announced.
As the winner, he will walk away with 30 million naira, a brand new SUV, a recording deal and other exciting prices.
Thousands of contestants put in for the show. Many fell by the wayside until the final twelve emerged.
The 12 fought hard to remain on the show, but the trio of Banty, Zadok and Progress made it to the top three. Banty was eliminated last week from the show.
