Ibadan Polytechnic identifies student who died after drug-fueled sex with his lover

The Public Relations Officer of the Polytechnic Ibadan, Alhaji Soladoye Adewole has confirmed the death of a Higher National Diploma (HND) student of the institution he identified as Daniel Igunnu.

According to the Nigerian Tribune the student, also known as Oromidayo, from the Civil Engineering Department, reportedly died after drug-fueled sex with his lover.

Adewole, in a statement on Tuesday, May 17, said the incident happened at an off-campus apartment in Idi-Ito, Ido local government area of Oyo State.

The spokesperson, however, said the institution is yet to establish the identity of the lady involved.

It was gathered that the door of the apartment was forced open by fellow students after waiting for several hours for them to come out.

The lifeless body of the deceased was seen on the floor while his lover was found unconscious.

The lady was rushed to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan for medical attention.

Some of the students who preferred anonymity attributed the incident to the use of sex enhancement drugs.
