Ijesa’s renowned traditional musician, Adedara Arunralojaoba, is dead.
The doyen of Ijesa’s Adamo traditional music, aged 92, died in his Oke-Aayo, Ilesa residence this morning, April 21, 2022.
Arunralojaoba was a High Chief of Iperindo in the Atakumosa East Local Government of Osun State until his demise.
Adamo traditional music is one of Yoruba’s panegyric music that started as folk music. Arunralojaoba is the most famous exponent of this brand of music in Ijesaland.
Burial arrangements will be announced by his family later.
