Bruce willis’ ‘worst performance’ award is rescinded after aphasia announcement

Bruce Willis is no longer the recipient of this year’s “Worst Performance” Razzie.
The Golden Raspberry Awards better known as the Razzies or Razzie Awards is a parody award show honoring the worst of cinematic under-achievements.
The organisers gave Willis the award for his work on “Cosmic Sin” because they believed he under-performed.
However, upon learning that the actor had been battling a debilitating condition, the organisers opined that it would be unfair to judge his performance so harshly.
A few days after Razzie gave Bruce the worst performance title, the actor’s family announced he’d been diagnosed with aphasia, a disease that hinders a person’s ability to communicate and understand language.
On Thursday, March 31, Razzie co-founders Mo Murphy and John Wilson said in a statement that they are rescinding the title.
Their statement reads in part: “If someone’s medical condition is a factor in their decision making and/or their performance, we acknowledge that it is not appropriate to give them a Razzie.”
