The Institute of Information Management (IIM) Africa is set to hold the 2022 Lagos edition of its annual national conference, investiture and award ceremony at the University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos on Saturday, April 2.
The two-in-one event is billed to also feature the Country Chief Data Officer Ambassador (CCDOA) Nigeria Symposium.
Ambassador (Dr) Oyedokun Oyewole, the President and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Institute said, the theme of the annual national conference and investiture is “digital transformation and data management: Associated challenges, risks and solutions”.
As regards the Country Chief Data Officer Ambassador Nigeria symposium, Oyewole, who also doubles as the Country Chief Data Officer Ambassador for Nigeria explained that the symposium has as its theme “emerging and future trends in data governance and management”.
In his words, “In this digital age, it is imperative for individuals, corporate organisations as well as government establishments to be highly informed as far as challenges, risks and solutions associated with digital transformation and data management are concerned. What’s more, individuals as well as organisations in the private and public sectors also need to be well-versed when it comes to the emerging and future trends in data governance and management. That is why we are having this two-in-one event.”
Oyewole, who is also the first-ever Country Chief Data Officer Ambassador in Africa stressed that factual, complete and accurate data are catalysts for quality corporate work, policy-making and well-informed decisions in the 21st century.
