UNILAG postpones resumption indefinitely

The management of the University of Lagos has announced the postponement of resumption indefinitely.

The institution attributed the decision to the ongoing industrial action declared by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the impending strike by the Non-Teaching Staff Unions (SANUU AND NASU)

See a notice sent to students below:

“IN VIEW OF THE ON-GOING INDUSTRIAL ACTION DECLARED BY THE ACADEMIC STAFF UNION OF UNIVERSITIES (ASUU) AND THE IMPENDING STRIKE BY NON-TEACHING STAFF UNIONS (SANUU AND NASU) INCLUDING NAAT THAT IS ALREADY ON A 2 WEEKS WARNING STRIKE, THE UNIVERSITY WISHES TO INFORM ALL STUDENTS THAT THE EARLIER ANNOUNCED RESUMPTION DATE OF 3RD APRIL 2022 IS NOW POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

ALL STUDENTS IN THE HALLS OF RESIDENCE SHOULD THEREFORE VACATE THE HOSTELS ON OR BEFORE WEDNESDAY 30TH MARCH 2022.”
