Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s second term in office seems assured with a symbolic endorsement from the national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, at an event on Sunday.
On Sunday, at the novelty football match in honour of Tinubu at 70, the former governor raised two fingers on both hands as he interacted with an elated Sanwo-Olu on the podium.
The gesture was greeted with wild applause and jubilation by their supporters.
Analyst opined that this is to be expected as the governor has been championing the presidential ambition of Tinubu since the former Lagos governor indicated his interest in the exalted seat.
There also has not been any disagreement to public’s knowledge between the two, unlike the immediate past governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, who fell out with Tinubu and was denied a second term ticket.
