A woman has taken to Twitter to narrate her frightful ordeal in the hands of a Bolt driver in Ikoyi, Lagos on Wednesday, March 16.
The lady with the handle @_Kimaura said she was robbed of all valuables on her and the money in her account by the driver and someone he picked up along the way.
She said she booked the Bolt ride and noticed the car was heavily tinted when it arrived, but she boarded it anyway.
According to her, the driver began asking her questions about herself and began speaking Igbo to her when he discovered she was from the East.
When they got to Ikoyi, he told her he needed to pick something from his brother and before she could respond, he stopped his car and a man entered the passenger seat.
The driver then told her that he was supposed to “use” her but because she’s his sister, he will let her go with her life.
She said they produced a knife and threatened to kill her if she did not cooperate. She said they collected her money, ID card, mobile app pin and ATM pin.
After transferring the money she had in her account, they threw her out of the car and zoomed off.
Bolt has responded to her tweets, asking for details about the driver so they can investigate.
