‘Bamise’s body was not mutilated’ – Lagos Commissioner of Police counters Bamise’s sister

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, has refuted claims that the body of the lady murdered during her commute on a BRT bus in Lagos, Bamise Ayanwole, was mutilated.

Titilayo Ayanwole, the older sister of Bamise, in a press conference earlier today alleged that Bamise’s private parts were removed by those who attacked her.

However, while speaking to newsmen also today March 8, CP Alabi denied the claim. The police boss said he was at the mortuary alongside some members of the late Bamise’s family and there was no evidence to show that any part of her body was missing.

The CP also stated that it had not yet been confirmed if she was raped. He said an autopsy would be conducted on her soon.
