A football player, identified simply as Afam, caused his mates grief and anguish after he slumped during a football match in Obosi, Anambra State and died.
Chukwuneke Ugochukwu Bishop, who uploaded the video of the moment after the player slumped said the incident happened on Monday, February 21, during a match between Iwene Tansi FC and another local football club at Odum Layout.
It was gathered that the player slumped during the group match and was rushed to a hospital where he was confirmed dead.
The video clip showed the moment the player was put in the back seat of a car and was being called by his teammates. One of the mates lifted his hand and dropped it to see if he was still conscious. Another put his mouth to the deceased’s ear and shouted his name. There was no response.
