‘Big boy’ who goes around buying expensive items with fake alerts, finally arrested after an N800k transaction
A prosperous-looking fraudster, Hanniel Princewill aka Moneybag, who has funded his luxurious lifestyle by conning people, has been apprehended by the police for swindling a businessman who owns a phone store in Lagos.
The suspect reportedly purchased two phones totalling N800,000 and made two ‘transfers’ to the merchant, showing them alerts indicating that the transactions were successful.
The merchants were to realise later that the alerts were fake and a manhunt was launched for him.
Thankfully the shop had a CCTV through which they could positively identify him.
He was later tracked down to his apartment where security operatives picked him up. A video clip of his arrest showed security men beating him as they led him to a waiting vehicle.
A source told Instablog, “He goes around impressing girls by defrauding hardworking Nigerians with fake alerts. He purchased an iPhone XS Max worth N290k and an iPhone 13 worth N560k with fake alert from us.
Thank God we had CCTV footage and receipts else he would have denied it. He claims to be into the real estate business and opened a business account on Instagram. Apparently, the registration number of his supposed company is also fake.
He goes around swindling ladies with pseudo investment plans and packages, using their monies to fund his fake lifestyle. He is a low budget Simon the tinder swindler. Nevertheless, he was caught and given enough brain-resetting sl@ps before he was apprehended by the police.”
