Girl openly disgraces boyfriend at Lagos shopping mall before realizing he bought a posh car for her (Video)
The commotion that attended a failed public marriage proposal at a busy shopping mall in Lagos has been filmed and shared online.
The clip shows the moment a young man arrived at the mall with a large band of saxophonist and men and women bearing cake, flowers and balloons spelling out the first name of the lady they were seeking.
The band and their commotion drew the attention of other shoppers, many of whom left their shopping and followed them to know who the object of the man’s desire was.
The lady in question was located inside one of the shops where she was carrying a shopping basket, apparently in readiness for shopping.
The lady looked scandalized and wanted to run inside, but was stopped by some people. She could be heard expressing her dissatisfaction with the entire commotion.
The man nonetheless went down on a knee to propose to the lady, who promptly turned the proposal down.
Many of the embarrassed members of the band hired by the dejected man tried to convince the lady, but she stood her ground. Bystanders can be heard shouting ‘Say Yes Now!” but the lady would have none of it.
When the stunned lover boy tried to hold the object of her desire to convince her to change her mind, she gave him a slap across the face, warning him to keep off her.
The lady walked out of the mall with the disappointed crowd in tow, but the moment she got outside and saw a car with a ribbon tied around it, it dawned on her she might have acted too rashly and turned back to go and meet the lover boy.
At this point, the friends of the man prevented her from getting close, asking her: “Wetin you want again?” (What more do you want?). Another one was heard saying, ‘You can never get the car again’.
Many of the bystanders can be heard booing her, with some shouting: “You don fuck up!”
She was heard saying to the lover boy, ‘You should have told me’, as he was being led away dejectedly by his friends.
