A man has been filmed violently attacking his girlfriend in Asaba Shopping Mall, Delta State.
From some of the exchanges between the two, it appeared the lady had told her boyfriend she did not feel like going out. The man who decided to come out alone was to discover that his girlfriend actually came to the mall with another man.
The man was shoeless, suggesting that some action might have happened before the clip was recorded.
The clip opened with the man lashing out at the lady, who kept pleading for mercy, kneeling down and rubbing her palms in penitence.
It was to no avail as the man continued to yell in annoyance. At a point when the lady approached him again to plead with him, he delivered a resounding slap that echoed across the mall.
Onlookers screamed at the assault. The lady was stung by the slap and stayed at some distance still begging the man who then sat on the floor holding his head with his two hands.
Many people who commented online thought the man overreacted by laying his hand on the woman. They opined that the man was violent and would do worse when left alone with the woman.
