A man has shared a video clip of how he dealt with a burglar who tore his window’s mosquito net and stretched his hand inside his apartment at midnight around Ighwreovie community in Ughelli North Local Government area of Delta State.
The house owner (name withheld) who said he was woken up by a funny sound in his living room arrived in time to see someone tearing his mosquito net from outside.
According to Focus NaijaTV, the man fetched his machete and brought out his phone to record how the man was struggling with the window.
He waited for him to put his hand inside the house before striking it with his weapon. The hand disappeared into the night as the house owner shouted for neighbours to be aware of what was happening.
The thief could not be apprehended as he apparently ran away with his injury.
The victim said it was the second-time burglars would be visiting his apartment, and as such, he had learnt not to sleep too deeply.
