CCTV caught Osayande carrying a woman through a city centre before raping her in Leeds
40-year-old Nigerian, Austin Osayande, faces a jail term after admitting to raping at least two women in the United Kingdom.
He was declared wanted in 2015 after a horrific sexual assault of a 24-year-old woman in Leeds.
Police released CCTV footage of the criminal at the time, prowling a car park for a victim and carrying his victim through the city centre to a point where he raped her.
The August 14, 2015, CCTV footage showed the UK-based Nigerian man approaching the woman about five in the morning as she waited for a cab following a night out. After chatting with her, the serial predator then scooped her up.
He was not caught at the time, until September when he committed another rape. Osayande initially denied the charges but later admitted in the face of incontrovertible evidence.
He was remanded in custody till his next appearance at the same court for sentencing on February 23.
The UK-based Nigerian man also admitted to a charge of assault by penetration for a second attack on a different victim on September 10, 2021.
