Jim Iyke has admitted that his recent physical fight with fellow actor, Uche Maduagwu, was orchestrated for publicity.
Iyke disclosed this during an interview with Chude Jideonwo.
Months ago, Uche Maduagwu had made some uncomplimentary comments about Jim Iyke, asking him to declare his true source of wealth. Days later, Jim showed up at Uche apartment and ‘attacked’ him for the insult on social media.
Jim Iyke shortly after released a movie with a similar storyline, prompting many to suspect that the fight might have been a stunt to promote his movie.
Jim has now admitted that it was indeed a stunt.
He said he and his team came up with the plan and Uche Maduagwu was contacted and paid well for it.
The actor said he is too “strategic” to “jeopardize” the success of his film by actually getting into a real fight with Uche Maduagwu.
He explained that he understands the thirst Nigerians have for gossip and bad news so he decided to tap into that to promote his movie.
