A video of some security officers in Togo assaulting Nigerians travelling through an airport in the country has gone viral.
It is claimed that the Nigerians did no wrong other than challenging why they were not allowed to board a flight they duly paid for.
The Nigerians coming from the US with Ethiopian Airlines reportedly had a connecting flight that would take them through Gnasingbe Eyadema International Airport, Togo on Saturday, December 18.
They were however disappointed to learn from the airline officials on arrival in Togo that the plane was full and could not take them to Nigeria.
It was not exactly clear how the Nigerians reacted to the disappointing news. That part was not covered in the video clips making the rounds.
The clips online show how the airport security officials were struggling to cuff three Nigerians, two men and a woman.
One of the clips showed some Togolese security agents holding the Nigerians down on the floor as they struggled to put handcuffs on them.
Another clip showed a man already cuffed, sitting on the floor.
There is no official information on the incident yet.
