Lagos police conduct autopsy on Sylvester Oromoni’s body
Release body to family for burial
The Lagos state police command has conducted an autopsy on the body of the 11-year-old Dowen College student, Sylvester Oromoni.
Oromoni died on November 30 after he was allegedly attacked by some seniors in his school. His death caused national outrage and grief. The Lagos State government has since sealed the school premises while President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to ensure all those involved in the incident would not be spared.
Five students and three housemasters in the school are currently in police custody.
In a statement released on Friday, December 17, the spokesperson of the state police command, Adekunle Ajisebutu, said an autopsy had been conducted on Sylvester’s remains and that the result was being awaited. He added that the body has been returned to the family for burial.
