‘We are cooperating with govt to investigate Sylvester Oromoni’s death’- Dowen College

Dowen College has released another statement following the intense outrage that attended the death of a student of the school in controversial circumstances.

Dowen College had earlier issued a statement distancing the school from the death of one of its students, Sylvester Oromoni, alleged to have been tortured severely by senior students of the school.

The school in the first statement said the school had in place an effective anti-bullying mechanism, adding that Oromoni died from injuries he sustained while playing football.

In the latest statement, the school sympathised with the family of Sylvester Oromoni and all who loved him.

It also revealed that the school is assisting the authorities to get to the bottom of the incident that led to Sylvester’s death.

The school added that every child is valued at Dowen College.

Nothing was said about the students accused of beating Sylvester to the point of death.
