Graphic videos show final moments of boy, 12, who died after allegedly being tortured by his classmates for refusing to join cult
The family of Sylvester Oromoni Jr., a student of Dowen college who died days ago, has released a video to dispute Dowen College’s statement that their son was not tortured in school.
In an initial report announcing Sylvester’s death, a Twitter user claiming to be a family member of the deceased said Sylvester called the names of some students of Dowen College and alleged they tortured him because he would not join their cult group in boarding school.
Subsequently, Dowen College released a statement, denying this report and stated that there was no cult group in the school.
The school maintained that there was an effective mechanism against cultism in the school.
The school’s management added that Sylvester Junior injured his hip while playing football and, after initially administering first aid, his family was called to pick him.
The latest video clips of the boy’s last moments shared on Twitter by a relative showed him groaning in pain on the bed with sores around his mouth.
The family claimed the deceased said he was given something to drink during his ordeal in the hands of his mates.
It was also claimed that before he passed on, he could not lift his arms and legs.
