The chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, has denied claims that a diamond-studded bra was found in ex-petroleum minister, Diezani Alison Madueke’s apartment.
There was a report last month listing items recovered from her home by investigators. Bras were listed among the things recovered.
Subsequently, some messages were circulated mainly on WhatsApp showing expensive bras and other underwear purportedly recovered from the ex-minister’s home. Among them was one that was diamond-studded.
However, appearing on a breakfast show on TVC, the EFCC boss, Bawa, on Wednesday, said no diamond bra was found in her apartment.
“There was nothing like Diamond bra. Just a creation of social media. I can tell you that for free because I am the lead investigator,” he said.
