2 married women fight publicly over alleged prostitution

Two married women, who were once friends, Chisom Anuibueze and Nkiru Ugwu, have engaged in a public fight after one accused the other of initiating her into prostitution in Lagos State.

According to P.M.EXPRESS, the incident happened at Akpumoje Street in Ago, Okota area of Lagos, where the two women reside.

During an altercation, Chisom was said to have accused her friend of initiating her into prostitution after killing her child. This reportedly stung Nkiru, who thereafter went to the Police at Ago Division to report Chisom so that she could be summoned to prove how she killed her child and taught her prostitution.

Chisom was arrested and detained at the police station for interrogation to prove her allegations but she was unable to do so.

She was then arraigned before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court for false allegation. She pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr. Simeon Njue, asked the Court to give a date for hearing to enable the police to prove she actually committed the alleged offence.

The presiding magistrate, Mrs. A.S. Okubule, granted Chisom bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in the like sum.

She was remanded in the correctional Centre at Kirikiri pending when she would perfect her bail conditions.

The matter was adjourned till 10th November, 2021, for mention.
