Remains of Femi Osibona, finally recovered from collapsed building

Rescue workers have finally been able to retrieve the remains of Mr. Femi Osibona, the owner of Fourscore Homes, the company in charge of the 21-storey building that collapsed in Lagos.

The body of the billionaire was retrieved by the rescue workers on Thursday evening according to some National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) officials on the site of the failed project.

A close friend of the deceased, Mr Dele Momodu, confirmed the sad news on his Instagram page this evening.

It was learnt that the body was conveyed away from the site on Thursday night by the staff of the ministry of health amidst tight security.

It was also learnt that the death toll had risen to 38.

The body of Mr Osibona’s friend, Wale Bob-Oseni, who was to travel to his base in the United States of America on Monday before the sad incident, is yet to be recovered from the rubble.

Many personal staff of the late Osibona are also believed to be buried in the collapsed building.
