Information has emerged that Wale Bob-Oseni, a real estate dealer and executive director of the African Bureau for Legislative Empowerment, was on his way back to his base in Maryland, United States of America when he branched off at the site of his friend’s massive project.
He is believed to be trapped in the debris with his friend, the owner of the project, Femi Osibona.
Ovation Publisher, Dele Momodu, who was close to both of them, told TheCable on Wednesday: “Wale was on his way to the US… this is so tragic.”
It would be recalled that a video went viral showing a man crying that his boss who was on his way to the US was trapped in the collapsed building. He said he was his driver and was taking him to the airport.
“He was heading to America. I want to go and drop him at the airport,” the driver said in tears.
Relatives and friends of missing people associated with the project continue to besiege the site of the building collapse in the hope their relatives would be rescued from the debris.
It was learnt that rescue efforts did not start as of 8:30 am on Wednesday.
