The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has confirmed that the eNaira Speed Wallet was taken down from the Google play store for an upgrade.
Efforts to track the app on Google Play Store yesterday proved abortive even though the merchant version was available.
The eNaira speed wallet was also available on Apple Store.
The app had attracted a lot of negative reviews on Google Play Store, prompting many to believe that the app was taken down because of that.
However, reacting to the claims, Osita Nwanisobi, spokesperson of the CBN told TheCable that the removal was to help the apex bank upgrade the app’s functionalities.
Nwanisobi said: “There is an upgrade going on and I guess it’s ok now.”
