Worries over Tiwa Savage’s mental health following her message: ‘Some people’ll be happy when I’m no more’
Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwa Savage, has sparked some worries among her fans with a cryptic message on her Instastory on Monday that some people will be happy when she is no more.
In the same message she made reference to loved ones who had recently departed this earth and hinted that it was better for them because they ‘are no longer in this cruel place.’
The persons she mentioned were her father and Obama DMW, a Davido’s aide also known as ’44’.
She said, “I was sad at the passing of my dad and 44 but at least they are no longer in this cruel place. Some people will be happy when I am no more.”
Obama DMW died on June 29, 2021 after a brief illness, while Tiwa’s father died in July, 2021.
Some fans find Tiwa Savage’s cryptic message alarming because it is coming on the heels of her recent sex tape scandal.
She has received massive support from some of her colleagues in the industry since the scandal broke out, but some others have been mean to her.
It had appeared that she had taken it all in her strides when she posted recently: “Charge that sh*t to the game and never speak on it again.”
But her message on Monday appeared like a step back from that initial stance.
Reacting to her Monday message, an online commenter using the name Elon Musk said:
“Just don’t commit suicide, suicide is not the answer. .. okay”.
BetaNigeria wrote: “Is she depressed??”
Jay wrote: “Hello Tiwa. If you can read this, please ignore the cruel trolls. Things happen. We should learn where we can and move on. Don’t let this weigh you down because it will soon blow over. Surround yourself with loved ones at this critical time. It is well with you.”
Dave Ibe wrote: “You shall not die but live to declare the goodness of God. Draw closer to God because wordly fame and money will not give you that fulfilment. Only Jesus can remove that emptiness.”

There are those who are still not impressed.
