A video clip showing the moment a man was beaten to stupor for attempting to poison his friend at an eatery has gone viral.
The man was forced to consume the drink he was suspected of having poisoned and he soon started vomiting.
The video which did not indicate the location of the incident shows the accused sitting on the floor as other men surround him.
Some of the men can be seen hitting him as they commanded him to drink the beverage they believed he had poisoned.
Trouble reportedly started when a fellow patron of the eatery accused the man of bringing something out of his pocket and dropping it inside the beverage of his friend and covering it. The friend had stepped out to use the loo at the time.
The accused denied putting anything in the drink. More people got interested in the altercation and asked him to drink the beverage if indeed he did not drop anything inside it.
His reluctance to drink the beverage led to some of the men hitting him and he had to drink it when the beating became severe.
He soon started vomiting but it did not stop some of the men from hitting him more.
The accused was saved by the mall security men who did not want a dead man on their hands.
The video ended with the man rolling weakly on the floor.
