Unknown gunmen struck in Onicha-Igboeze and Isu areas of Ebonyi State on Thursday, killing at least seven persons.
According to Igbere TV, those killed included two lawyers, with one of them dressed in lawyers’ typical dark suit, trousers and a white shirt.
The motive for the murder is not known and there was no information on the circumstances surrounding the shootings.
The state governor, David Nweze Umahi had on Wednesday warned that Ebonyi State would no longer tolerate wanton destruction of lives.
The governor threatened that security operatives would start going after “the parents of the miscreants”.
