The finale of the Big Brother Naija ‘Shine Ya Eye’ edition takes place in a couple of hours and all indications are that either of Liquorose or Whitemoney will clinch the ultimate prize of N90 million.
The finalists are Liquorose, Whitemoney, Pere, Angel, Emmanuel and Cross.
Whitemoney has maintained a massive following right from the beginning, especially among people of South-Eastern extraction.
He has been returned to the house with massive edge each time he has been put up for eviction, making it certain that those who support him do not only make noise online, but also actively participate in voting and in mobilizing for others to vote for their favourite.
Liquorose equally has massive following, having entered the house with the highest social media followership among all the contestants.
She was already known in social circles as a video vixen who has lent her craft to some notable musicians including 2face, Psquare, Dbanj, Donjazzy, Davido, wizkid, Olamide, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade and Flavor, among others.
In the final days of the show, many women have filed behind her as they push for a woman to win the prize money after Laycon won last year’s edition.
Many analysts argued that her chances were dimmed with the inclusion of another woman, Angel, in the finalist, with the results that some of the votes that could have gone in her favour will now be shared with Angel, who does not seem strong enough to win.
It remains to be seen if the inclusion of Angel in the final will have profound impact on Liquorose’s fortunes.
Pere has also done a massive turnaround of his reputation in the final days of the show. He started out as a villain, who at some point became the most hated housemate, especially after his major altercation with Whitemoney.
Virtually every housemate wanted him out at some point, he was put up for nomination many times too, but he was lucky to escape being sent home as he managed to have just enough supporters to stay above fellow nominated housemates.
Then, once, he was lucky to win veto power to save and replace himself with another housemate, Queen.
In the last few days, he has cleaned up his act and wormed his way into the hearts of many viewers and fellow housemates.
Many passionate appeals for votes for him could be seen on social media in the final days of voting.
MSN tips him to also do well tonight, and will probably be among the last three standing.
