A video has surfaced showing the last moments of Dr Chike Akunyili, husband of former NAFDAC boss, Late Professor Dora Akunyili, after he was shot by assailants in Anambra State.
Dr. Akunyili was attacked by unknown gunmen in Nkpor, Anambra State on Tuesday, September 28.
The video recorded shortly after the incident showed the late Akunyili lying in a pool of his blood with an open skull.
He was gasping for air as onlookers stood by recording him with their mobile phones.
He can be seen raising his head and then his hand before resting his hand on his body in helplessness.
There was no attempt from any quarters to take him to the hospital to have a fighting chance of surviving the attack.
The video is too gory to be shared.
