Popular celebrity photographer, Fortunate Peter Umunname, aka Fortune Shotz, has died.
He reportedly drowned yesterday, September 21, at a location in Lekki, Lagos.
Reports indicated that he was invited to a video shoot where he was expected to take still pictures.
He was said to have joined other crew members on a rented boat, which unfortunately capsized mid-journey on account of turbulence.
Fortunate was not wearing a life-jacket and was dead before rescuers got to him.
Others wearing life-jackets were rescued.
Fortunate is known to have worked with many Nigerian celebrities, with many of their photos bearing his logo.
He was Davido’s official photographer and hailed the singer in 2019 for changing his (Fortune’s) life for good.
