Horrific moment final year student somersaults, lands on his head while celebrating conclusion of exams (video)
A student of the University of Education, Winneba, (UEW) in Ghana has died when his exuberant celebration of his last paper went horribly wrong.
The student, identified as Sani Abdul Majeed, somersaulted and landed on his head and neck.
The incident reportedly happened on September 7, when one of Sani’s colleagues took to somersaulting in celebration of successful conclusion of their studies.
Sani then followed suit and was able to land well the first time, but the second time, he landed awkwardly on his head, hurting his neck.
He was knocked out and had to be rushed to the Trauma and Specialist Hospital at Winneba for treatment. He was later transferred to a hospital in Accra where he died on Thursday, September 9.
Sani Abdul Majeed was a student of the Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Sports.
The Students’ Representative Council of the university released a message of condolence to sympathize with the family of the deceased.
