An Igbo man who was unable to have a scheduled surgery because of the sit-at-home order of the Indigenous People of Biafra has cried out at the harsh effects of the order on the people of the region.
Uloka Chibuikem criticized IPOB leaders who he said are making lives difficult for the people of the region while they are comfortably living with their families abroad with access to basic amenities.
Uloka disclosed that he was in pain and was supposed to undergo surgery on Monday, August 16, in Onitsha but was unable to because hospitals remained closed due to the sit-at-home order.
It would be recalled that IPOB leaders suspended the weekly Monday sit-at-home order declared over the detention of Nnamdi Kanu. However, many residents of Anambra State and Kanu’s state of origin, Abia, opted to stay off the streets, apparently for their safety.
Uloka, described the attitude as servitude, which must stop.
