Veteran Nollywood actor, Rich Oganiru, is dead.
Reports indicate that the actor passed on after being ill for months on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.
It would be recalled that about two weeks ago, a video clip of Rich Oganiru lying on his sickbed and begging for financial assistance was shared online.
“Please, everyone should reach out before he dies,” the caption on the post reads.
The actor has now succumbed to the sickness.
One of his friends announced his death on Facebook.
Back in 2012, the Nollywood actor, who starred in numerous movies, was arrested for allegedly murdering his wife.
His wife’s family at the time accused him of poisoning his wife. They sent a petition to the police calling for an investigation. Oganiru was subsequently arrested. The wife was said to be a multimillionaire. Her family suspected that her husband killed her so that she can acquire her wealth.
The actor maintained his innocence and said on numerous occasions that he never killed his wife.
