The remains of the late renowned actress, Rachel Oniga will be interred in Lagos on August 27, according to funeral arrangements announced by her family.
The funeral rites will commence on August 26 and end the following day with interment.
Oniga succumbed to a heart-related ailment on Friday, July 30. She was said to have been ill for a brief period before the incident.
An indigene of Eku in Delta State, the actress was born in 1957 in Ebute Metta, Lagos State. She made her acting debut in the 1996 hit movie ‘Onome’ and went on to star in several big productions including ‘Sango’ and Wale Adenuga’s TV series, ‘Super Story.’
She will be remembered for her gentle mien and realistic interpretation of movie roles.
