A viral video has shown a girl confessing that her mother gave her rat poison to put in her father’s food.
The video shows the girl tied in an embrace against a pillar in a hall. The reason for that is not known, but a voice in the background can be heard saying that no one has touched her, suggesting that she is not being beaten.
But the position must have been very uncomfortable for her as she can be seen crying and sweating profusely. She speaks Igbo in the video. She gave her mother’s name as Chinwendu Ngolo from Ehime Mbano in Imo State.
She said the goal was to kill her father, but says she loves her her father and therefore told him of the plot when she served him the food.
The girl’s mother who can be seen beside her the whole time, denies the allegation. She claims she has no idea where her daughter got the rat poison from.
The story and video were shared on Facebook by a user named Ikwumelezeh Testimony James.
He wrote:

“In case you’ve not heard, “her mother gave her rat poison to put inside her Father’s food. The poor lil girl did as her mum ordered. Buh she did one thing extra. She told her Dad that her mother ordered her to do so before she now served him the food.
“When they asked the lil girl why did you tell your dad that you put rat poison inside his food, she said” I love my Dad.
“Marriage is getting scaring by the day.”
