Corps member saved from abductors by observant motorist in Ikoyi, Lagos

A corps member has been saved from abductors by an observant motorist who noticed she was banging the car window and used his own car to block the criminals.

According to a Facebook user, Cecilia Iniperitiari Dikibo, her sister, Tamunobelema Dikibo entered a vehicle at the Ikoyi-Lekki Link Bridge in Lagos, not knowing it was occupied by one-chance operators.

Once in, the men allegedly locked the car doors and windows and demanded her phone.

Fortunately, there was slight traffic and the men, realizing that the girl was struggling and trying to draw attention reportedly tried to reverse to get away.

Another motorist who had noticed what was happening then used his car to block the car driven by the criminals and disembarked from his car to look closely at what was happening. He was said to have knocked on the driver’s window.

The victim reportedly kept hitting her side of the window to call more attention to her situation and the observant motorist was said to have stood in front of the car driven by the one-chance operators, asking them to come down.

At that point, the criminals reportedly opened the door and let the flustered corps member out.
