Moment Farouk Yahaya’s appointment was announced to his troops

President Muhammadu Buhari today named Major General Farouk Yahaya the new Chief of Army Staff to replace Lt. General Attahiru Ibrahim, who died in a plane crash last Friday.

The announcement was greeted with spontaneous jubilation among his team.
