Newly married NAF pilot dies in Kaduna crash

A newly married Nigerian Air Force pilot, Flt Lt Alfred Ayodeji Olufade, died alongside the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt General Ibrahim Attahiru in the ill-fated NAF flight of Friday.

Olufade married his beautiful wife  Onyema Jennifer Attah, the daughter of a former Coordinator of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Mr Emmanuel Danjuma Attah in February of this year.

The grand ceremony attracted dignitaries from all walks of life and was covered by Bisi Olatilo Show (BOS). The video is still circulating in some circles online.

Recall that NAF Beachcraft 350 aircraft crashed at the Kaduna International Airport on Friday around 6 pm in a bad weather, killing all eleven top military officers on board, including the COAS.

Olufade’s friends and associates are inconsolable as they flooded the social media with tributes for the departed pilot.

Among the online tributes for him was a tweet by @OvieNews, who lamented that the officer wedded only two months ago.

He said, “Rest in Peace Alfred. Flight Lt. AA Olufade just married two months ago. Our Heroes.”

@Sir_KB, wrote, “My heart is in pain. I lost my friend. Flight Lt. AA Olufade. He got hitched months back and often teased me to get out of the bachelorhood. Rest well Freddy.”

Also, @SodyBar stated, “Olufade is a close associate. He got married February this year. We’re all disheartened!”

@EmekaWilfred wrote: “We’re all saddened by his death. Everyone affiliated with Kuje seminary will surely miss him. May the Almighty grant you eternal rest.”

@ogunwens tweeted, “We are all in pain, may his soul and others rest in peace. May their deaths not be in vain. My family and I salute our heroes.”
