The Lagos State government has commenced an onslaught against flagrant infringement of the rules guiding operation of commercial motorcycles in the state.
The Task Force constituted for enforcing the rules has been moving round key areas of the state noted for flagrant violation of ‘No okada’ zones.
The work of the Task Force at Ogba led to some unrest as some of the okada riders engaged the men with makeshift weapons, leading to momentary break down of law and order.
Yesterday, Friday May 7, the Task Force stormed Cele area and impounded a total of 91 motorcycles plying major roads in violation of the state’s traffic rules.
