Nigerians in Abuja over the weekend forced government hospital officials to accept a hit and run victim they rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The hospital, identified in a video as Maitama Hospital, in Abuja first told the good Samaritan who conveyed the accident victim to the hospital to take him to the National Hospital.
She demanded to know why, when they had not even attempted to take a look at the victim. She asked them if they were not also a hospital. She threatened to dump the man there with them to do as they please.
Seeing that the victim was in a very critical condition, other Nigerians supported her and created a scene at the hospital entrance, forcing the hospital staff to call for a stretcher to take the victim into the hospital.
The good Samaritan, Bint Hijazi, in a Facebook post said
“Today I see a lack of faith. Watch how we fought with Maitama hospital staff after I helped someone who was hit by a car and the driver ran away. May Allah increase our faith and compassion, and bring change for the sake of Prophet Muhammad . Even a foolish person chased us out of the hospital as if we went to her father’s house.
