A video has gone viral showing a group of men mercilessly flogging a naked woman.
It is not clear where the video was recorded, but the lady and the men were speaking Igbo.
The woman was held down by at least four hefty men, while another man flogged her bare body, as she begged them.
“Daddy please… brother please… mummy…” The woman is heard begging in Igbo as the men held her down and flogged her.
When her screaming was too much for them, one of the men gagged her with a cloth, while the torture continued.
They warned her to stop screaming or the flogging would be restarted.
She tried to turn from the cane but the men were too strong for her.
At some point a male voice said, “Pour water on her.” Someone poured water on her and the flogging continued.
Her skin turned purple with cane marks all over her butt and back. Blood can also be seen running down her face.
A voice then asked for more water to be poured on her and it was done.
When they left her, she curled up on the floor with her legs closed.
But she was ordered to open her thighs so they can see her private parts that she was using “to misbehave”.
She hesitated and was warned that the beating would resume if she did not comply. So, she opened her legs and they started flogging her on her private parts.
The video has aggravated many people online, as many are calling for the identification and arrest of the men.
Though she referred to the men as “daddy” and “brother”, analysts have said that she might have used those words not because they were her brothers and father, but as a way of appealing to their conscience to stop the torture.
One of those trying to defend the assault online claimed the lady was seen in a video by her family dancing half naked with a dildo in her mouth.
But the commenter was countered by others who insisted that even if that was the case, the lady did not deserve the cruel treatment she got from the men.
