Two key figures in the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association in Nasarawa State have been shot dead by unknown gunmen in Toto Local Government Area of the State.
The slain men were the Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association in Nasarawa State, Alhaji Mohammed Hussain and the Chairman of the association in Toto LGA, Mohammed Umar.
They were both killed on Friday night.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Saturday morning by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Ramham Nansel.
The statement reads: “On 2/4/2021 at about 7pm, information was received that unknown gunmen suspected to be Fulani bandits attacked and killed one Mohammed Hussaini, the Chairman, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Nasarawa State and Mohammed Umar, the Chairman, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Toto LGA at Garaku market.
“Upon receipt of the information, the Commissioner of Police, CP Bola Longe swiftly deployed Operation Puff Adder II personnel to the scene where the two corpses were recovered and taken to the hospital.”
The bodies of the deceased have been deposited in an undisclosed morgue by the police command.
