Man duped by fraudsters disrupts activities at Access Bank

A man scammed by fraudsters stormed Access Bank, Chevron branch, Lagos, on Thursday to make a scene in a futile bid to have his money back.

According to an Instagram user, Ritacooks, who posted the video of the disorderly scene, the gentleman, who is not a customer of the bank, claimed he was called by someone who introduced himself as working for Access Bank and told to participate in a scheme wherein any contribution he made would be multiplied in two hours.

The man said he sent N100,000 under the promise of collecting N1 million in two hours.

However, at the expiration of the two hours, when he did not hear from the ‘bank representative’, he stormed Access Bank nearest to him to collect either the promised N1million or his N100,000 capital.

When bank officials told him he had been scammed and there was nothing the bank could do for him, he became unruly and insisted on having at least his N100,000 back.

A calm policeman could be seen in the clip restraining him from attacking the bank officials.
