Native doctors caught with ladies’ panties, bra in Abia

Some youths of Amaekpu Ohafia in Ohafia LGA area of Abia State have caught popular native doctors in the community allegedly performing fetish rituals with panties and bras of ladies in a forest.

Other items found with the native doctors include slippers, clothes and other personal wear.

A leader of the youths, Kalu Mba Kalu a.k.a Mallam K in a chat with ABN TV on Sunday said one of the native doctors, Udensi Ikah, had bought land from an Amaekpu man in the middle of the forest where he erected his shrine.

He was joined by a second native doctor who is said to be a native of Amaekpu Ohafia.

Kalu said the activities of the native doctors caused the youths of the community some concerns when a person who visited the shrine noticed people’s pictures and personal wear  were nailed to a fetish tree.

The person who made the discovery drew the attention of other members of the community to the issue and some youths went to investigate.

When the youths stormed the shrine deep in the forest of the community, they found numerous panties, bras, clothes and pieces of paper containing people’s names nailed to the fetish tree in the centre of the shrine.

The youths believed the various items were used to spiritually ‘bind’ their owners.

They therefore demanded that the native doctors loose the victims by removing the items from the tree.

Kalu said efforts were ongoing to dismantle the rest of the shrine as soon as all the ‘bound’ people were released.

Some of the people in the pictures nailed to the tree were identified, but the owners of the panties, bras and other personal items could not be verified.

Kalu said the native doctors were assisting with an investigation on what their activities in the forest were.
