A serial rapist based in Ago Okota area of Lagos has been arrested and detained by the Lagos Command of the Nigeria Police.
According to a statement by the command’s spokesperson, CSP, Muyiwa Adejobi, the serial rapist, Onuorah Obi, was arrested at his residence No 1, Buari Oloto Street, Ago Okota, Lagos on March 17, 2021.
The suspect reportedly specialised in raping women and recording their nudity so that he could use the video as a leverage to keep them from telling anyone about the incident or informing the police.
Nemesis however caught up with him when he lured a 25 year old lady, also of Ago Okota, and raped her to his heart’s content before filming her naked body and blackmailing her as usual.
The lady promised him she would not tell anyone, but as soon as she was free, she went to the Ago Okota Division of the Lagos Police Command to report her ordeal and lodge a formal complaint.
A team of policemen thereafter followed her to arrest the suspect.
Similarly, the command also announced the arrest of one Jane Otubo who was trying to forcefully have homosexual relationship with another man he invited into his residence from Abuja.
Otubo, 28, of No 3, Eniola Street, Mafoluku, Osodi was arrested by men of Makinde Police Station for trying to have sexual relations with one Francis Azeez of Gwagwalada Area of Abuja.
The suspect who is a food stuff trader from Enugu State had paid the transport fare of Azeez to come to his place from Abuja under the guise of helping him to establish a business.
Trouble broke out when Otubo made frantic attempts to have unlawful carnal knowledge of the invitee who had spent a week with him.
Azeez would have nothing of it and was prepared to return to his base in Abuja, but Otubo was angry that he could not have his way after spending money on Azeez and proceeded to assault him.
The ensuing fracas drew the attention of neighbours who eventually informed the Police. The Landlord of the suspect said he had had to settle similar issues pertaining to improper and criminal act many times in the past.
The police said the suspects would be arraigned soon.
