Abducted OOU students released

The two female students of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) abducted by gun men from their Aiyetoro campus hostel in Ago Iwoye have been released.

Precious Adeyemo and Abiola Oyefule who were returning from an outing on Sunday night when they were abducted have been reunited with their families.

The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, disclosed this in a tweet on Tuesday night.

“This is to announce that we have secured the release of Precious Adeyemo and Abiola Oyefule – both OOU students recently kidnapped in Ayetoro,” he said in the tweet.

“I appreciate the efforts of the Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police and other security agencies involved in the exercise that will now see the ladies reunited with their respective families.”

A video clip shared by Emmanuel Ojo, media aide to the Ogun governor, showed one of the girls weeping and being consoled by people believed to be her family members.
