Second Republic Lawmaker representing Kano, Dr. Junaid Mohammed is dead.
The son of the deceased, Suleiman, confirmed the death. He said his father died on Thursday night at the age of 73. He had been ill for three days.
His burial will be announced by the family.
Minister of Investment and trade, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo and other sympathizers have paid the family condolence visits at No. 60 Lamido crescent, Kano.
Mohammed, a medical doctor, was born in Dala, Kano State.
He was a founding member of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in 1976 led the late Aminu Kano.
In 2018, Donald Duke, presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), picked him as his running mate for the 2019 election.
